An Introduction

I was introduced to alternative medicine by chance, or maybe by the grace of God. I was a newly single mom to a five-year-old and was looking for a job that would allow me to still spend precious time with my son. My mentor and new employer was the wife of a longtime friend, and my job was helping with his parents who were both stage 4 cancer patients, which MD Anderson had given months to live. My mentor was battling a rare diagnosis herself, and I had just been told that my lipoma had likely turned malignant and was referred to an oncologist. We were a lab experiment waiting to happen and happen we did! My mentor had studied all forms of alternative medicine for 12 years previous to our meeting and introduced me to information that absolutely changed my life. The two most important things she taught me was how to research for myself and the second was that nutrition was extremely important to overall health. Now remember, this was all before the internet is what it is today and before the mainstream questioned western medicine. I was raised to believe that the doctors, politicians, government agencies, and law enforcement had our best interest at heart. I was indoctrinated, just like all of our doctors are... just like we all were. It was a total shock to me to follow the money back to the institutions that were formed in the early 1900s, which saw real healers thrown in jail and the creation of an empire that destroyed any semblance of real medicine. I watched patients at the oncologist appointments waiting in the lobby for their next treatment, hovered over trash cans and barely able to walk. Children with no hair and hollow eyes, a quiet resignation to their fate on their tiny little faces, and I just wanted to scream at the travesty. The only three FDA approved treatments for cancer in the US is chemo, radiation, and surgery. There is an alternative doctor using peptides in Houston that was FDA approved after years of raids on his facility and jail time, the overlords granted him limited approval, but of course it is not covered by any insurance. We have a sick care system in this country, and it was designed to be that way. Humans are trusting... Most have pure hearts and look at the world through the lens of their own hearts. It is a shock to learn that the institutions that are "designed" to heal us are actually making us sicker. On the bright side, I see so many people waking up and starting to take their health into their own hands, and that is how we fix a broken system.
